PRINT DATA

pdf, dpi, eps... this may be quite confusing sometimes! To ensure that your print result is as brilliant as possible, we have compiled the most important information for you here.

In principle, there are two different types of files: Depending on the printing process, we need your logo / design either as vector-based graphic or as a pixel-based image. The difference is quite simple: the vector-based graphic is based on so-called graphic primitives such as colors, shapes, curves and lines. The pixel-based image, on the other hand, is composed of individual image points (pixels). The more pixels there are in relation to the format, the better an image's quality or resolution. This is why we speak of dpi (= dots per inch) in this context.

→   Advantages, and possible file extensions of vector-based graphics

A vector graphic can be enlarged as much as desired without sacrificing image quality. This is because the "primitives" are mathematically scaled - i.e. adjusted. Special colors (like according to PANTONE) can be clearly defined here. Recommended file formats (here the file extension in each case) for vector-based graphics are: .eps / .pdf* / .svg / .ai

→   Advantages, and possible file extensions of pixel-based image

With a good resolution (for printing always at least 300 dpi > see resolution) fine and finest color gradients can be displayed photorealistically. No preliminary or setup costs, as the motif is printed directly from the computer. Recommended file formats (here the file extension in each case) for pixel-based images are: .jpg / .pdf* / .tiff

Perfect for your logo with special color

As the name suggests, this technique involves transferring the print design onto a soft, receptive and flexible "pad" made of silicone rubber and then printing it onto the print surface. One "pad" prints one color at a time. Therefore, the printing price is also calculated by the number of colors.

Pad printing is perfect for...

  • Smaller print areas
  • Logos with special colors (PANTONE)
  • Motifs with fine contours
  • Images with clearly distinguishable colors (no color gradients!)
  •  Almost all - even difficult surfaces

File type vector graphics
File format .eps, .pdf*, .svg, .ai

CMYK color mode
Note optional: Special colors according to PANTONE
Up to five colors possible.

For photo-realistic designs and logos

The principle is as simple as with your inkjet printer at home: With the digital printing process, the print data is transferred directly from the computer to the printing machine. The print head now moves over the product and prints a photo-realistic image with clear, clean gradients and in vibrant colors in what is known as four-color printing (all colors are mixed from the basic colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black / CMYK).

Digital printing is perfect for...

  • Small to medium quantities
  • Photorealistic images with gradients
  • Logos in CMYK
  • Small and large print areas

File type pixel image/ vector graphic
File format for pixel images → .jpg, .tiff, .pdf*
for vector graphics → .eps, .pdf, .svg, .ai
requirement for pixel images → 300 dpi/ CMYK color mode
for vector graphics → texts in paths/ CMYK
Note 300 dpi should be the minimum resolution (for pixel image).
For sublime brand experiences: Your logo as a 3D gel sticker...

Advertising you can touch: Doming is a special process in which your logo or design is processed into an effective sticker with a three-dimensional gel layer. Domings are particularly scratch and impact resistant as well as UV and weather resistant.

Doming is perfect for...
  • All outdoor articles
  • Products with high physical stress
  • Effective branding
  • Products with small finishing area

Fine, timeless lines on noble surfaces...
Imperishable, binding and precise... An engraving is (similar to a wedding ring) a permanent promise of your reliable values. A high-powered engraving laser inscribes your brand with extreme precision on aluminum, metal, steel or plastic without stressing the surfaces.

Important to know! With this special procedure, it is especially important to us to ensure an optimal process and the perfect service. Because not every logo is suitable for laser engraving without prior preparation. We are happy to take care of this for our customers and therefore contact you again personally directly after the order if you select "laser engraving".

Your design on textile surfaces

Whether transfer printing, screen printing or embroidery - we have many solutions for your ideas with our textile articles. As is often the case, the best solution is an individual solution. That's why our printing experts take a close look at your order and then find the very best option for your project.

Our textile finishing options:
  • Direct printing
  • Transfer printing
  • Screen printing
  • Embroidery

File type pixel image/ vector graphic
File format for pixel images   →   .jpg, .tiff, .pdf*
for vector graphics   →   .eps, .pdf, .svg, .ai
requirement for pixel images → 300 dpi/ CMYK color mode
for vector graphics → texts in paths/ CMYK
Note 300 dpi should be the minimum resolution (for pixel image)
As described above, the resolution only plays a role for a pixel image. Here, your data should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi in the size to be printed. If you are not sure about this - no problem! All your provided data will be checked for quality before production. If something is not right, we will contact you directly. Nothing will be printed that is not optimally printable.

→ Pixel-based image

  • All designs here are formed with the four basic colors (when printing).
  • These are cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The color mode is therefore referred to as CMYK
  • K stands here for the black portion Key

 → Vector graphic

  • In pad printing, up to five individual colors can be printed
  • The designation in our online store in this context is 1C = 1 color, 2C = 2 colors, 3C = 3 colors.... Each color does not have to correspond to a special color from the PANTONE range.
  • A "mixture" of spot color and CMYK color value is also possible here.

All your data will be checked for printability by our experts. This service is free of charge for our customers! In case of a problem, we will come directly to you and advise you here with pleasure. Thanks to our in-house graphics department, we can also work directly with you in many cases and make any necessary adjustments to your data. In these cases you will receive a proof for approval. So you can be absolutely sure that nothing is produced at ZOGI that is not 100% optimized for printing.
